After a two year battle with brain cancer, Miles John Isbell passed away at home on October 21, 2022 surrounded by family and friends.  Throughout his battle “Miles The Brave'' inspired people around the world with his perseverance and strength to live each day to the fullest, give back to their community, always look for the good even in the darkest of times and “Don’t Stop Believen.”

On Wednesday, September 30th, 2020 - after a few weeks of headaches and not feeling well - Miles had an MRI that showed a growth on his brain. It was a very difficult day for everyone and started this journey to battle Miles’ cancer. He had surgery on Friday, October 2nd and the tumor was removed.

Miles was diagnosed with Medullablastoma and has battled hard to fight this diagnosis - along with his family.

Another MRI in December of 2021 found that his brain tumor was back. Miles endured another tumor ressection surgery and enrolled in a clinical trial in collaboration with Seattle Children’s Hospital and Doernbecher in Portland. He and Charlee have flown to visits courtesy of Angel Flights.

Unfortunately, an MRI in June of 2022 showed new tumor growth in his brain. Due to new progressive disease he is not eligible to continue on his trial. He began a new regimen of chemotherapy in Medford OR on June 21, 2022.

MRIs performed at Stanford University in September of 2022 showed extensive recurrence with multiple tumors on his brain and spine.

Miles earned his angel wings on October 21, 2022.
