Miles John Isbell Child Life Quiet Room

Miles, Carter and their friends have been inspirational in their financial contributions to the new Olsrud Family Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Medford. If you have followed our journey for a while, you will remember that we were able to take a hardhat tour this last summer. When taking the tour, Miles was especially excited about the rooms that children could go to play in. During all of his hospital experiences at larger hospitals, none of these rooms were open due to Covid and nothing like this exists at the current hospital.

Carter and Miles’s names will be on the walls of the hospital as major donors and Miles’s patient story will also be featured.

The Asante Forward Foundation recently contacted us to let us know that a major donor gifted her room naming opportunity to our family. Her husband who had passed away from cancer spent much of his childhood in the hospital. She met Miles at the @oregonwineexperience this year in which you may remember that he helped crush their fundraising expectations and raised over $3 million in one night. Something that Asante knows they won’t be able to top next year. Through our grief we are blessed to share that the Miles John Isbell Child Life Quiet Room will be a place for children to come and read or create art - a place we know Miles would have loved.
