Moving the Mountain . . . Again

Miles had his second brain surgery on February 10th. The surgeon and subsequent MRIs feel confident that removed all of the tumor which is essential for Miles’s positive prognosis and survivorship. He also enrolled in the trial and began his study medication.

Miles and Charlee on Valentine’s Day - only FOUR days post surgery.

We have had to remain close to the hospital for another week due to monitoring potential side effects. So far, he is just very tired but is gaining mobility and uses a walker. We meet with oncology and neurology again this Friday the 18th and then hopefully come home via Angel Flights. This organization will also help us fly back and forth for weekly and then monthly visits.

Moving a mountain begins with the first step. Not only are we incredibly proud of Miles for taking on yet another brain surgery, but he also learned how to successfully swallow pills - another crucial step in moving this mountain.
