A Heavenly Father’s Day

Father’s Day hits a bit harder in light of losing Miles and John this year.

The best gift Papa could have ever given was his example of putting his family first and a strong work ethic, which are strongly illustrated by Bradley and understood by our sons.

We know Papa and Miles are always with us and we were witness to their presence this weekend.

Exactly a year to the day that Miles hiked into his last mountain lake - we made it to both Duck Lakes.

Upon arriving two Drake (male) mallards circled not once, but twice before leaving. Male ducks don’t usually fly in pairs and certainly not at 6,400 ft in June.

We know it was Miles and Papa coming to see us and to visit a place that only their Angel wings would now let them see. We love you and miss you both - every day and especially Father’s Day. Carter caught close to 40 fish and we know his brother was right there with him.
