Best Birthday Wish Ever!

Just a few days before Miles’s 11th birthday he had his two month post operative scans in Seattle and there was NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE - the very best birthday present anyone could ask for.

Miles will continue to take his study trial drug medication and have monthly visits with scans every two months. We just received word that the trial was successfully opened at OHSU and he will be able to start his monthly visits in Portland instead of Seattle beginning in June.

We have been continuously blessed by Angel Flight West whose pilots have flown Miles, Charlee and either Bradley or myself to his appointments. This will still be available for his visits to Portland and may make it so that we don’t have to stay overnight.

This last trip to Seattle with Angel Flight was pretty memorable as our story was documented by a film crew in preparation for the Endeavor Awards. This black tie event will be in Los Angeles and our family will get to watch Miles and Charlee take the stage underneath the Space Shuttle Endeavor. The hope is that we can help raise money for Angel Flight so that others can have access to the same services which have helped save his life and his spirit.
