Good days…

Miles has been at his best over the last few days. Spending entire days outside. Running. Laughing. Playing. Even herding a lost cow. We can almost forget he has cancer. Life feels normal.

Today is International Childhood Cancer Day. It’s traumatic that such a day exists and it breaks my heart that this day includes us.

The reality is that research for childhood cancer is underfunded, but a child is diagnosed every three minutes and it is the number one cause of death in children.

We head back to the battlefield of chemo this week. And if his work in corralling that lone cow is any indication - he’s ready to fight.
