Let the Bells Ring!
“Knowledge is power, community is strength and positive attitude is everything.”
Miles asked for the bells and man - you all brought your A game. Tears of happiness flowed as we watched videos come in via text, email, FB and Instagram. Miles had to wait until his blood products were given to ring the bell and when he did - what a treat he was given. (Get yourself a childhood friend like Adam Filippone)
Our local towns bells were singing in harmony at noon sharp. Between the libraries, schools, fire halls, churches, and towns bells - you could hear the melodies near and far.
Through this adventure we have asked ALL the questions - the hard ones, the ones that make doctors squirm. We have remained steadfastly positive even when we are reminded of his aggressive disease, but above all we have always, always had all of YOU our community.
You have picked us up when we couldn’t rise, you have carried us through the toughest season of our lives.
Thank you for all showing up again today. We hope every single person fighting cancer could feel the love that we feel from our community far and wide.
Please continue to show up for us, but above all else show up for all. Thank you.
Now we rest, likely get more blood and continue to kick cancer’s ass and get more imaging in August.
