Nov 9 - Family Moments
As Miles was checking in for radiation treatment this afternoon the concierge (yes, there are such things as proton concierge(s)) - asked how his weekend was.
“It was great! I got to hang out with my family.”
He didn’t go into detail about our touristy trip to the space needle, our yummy meals, or anything to do with the other fun adventures - just simply hanging out as a family. Together.
Last night as the four of us were sitting down to eat dinner I just kind of lost it. With tears streaming down my face I just wished out loud to rewind - to just go back to normal. Yes, we are so blessed and fortunate to have a home up here, to be able to have Bradley, Carter and friends visit. But it isn’t the same.
In these moments that each member of our family has had we remind each other that in these moments the mountain is getting moved.
Whether we are together or we are two states away - we agreed to an adventure. Lucky for us we have a concierge or two along the way who ask the right questions and remind us of the power of just hanging out - as a family.
