In celebration of the birthday of the United States Marine Corps today and Veteran’s Day tomorrow - Miles and I made gift bags for Veterans battling cancer receiving treatment at the same proton center and Veterans who work at the proton center.
My dad - Miles’s other grandpa was a United States Marine who served two tours in the Vietnam War and passed away from cancer right before Miles’s first birthday.
Pre-COVId our school would host an luncheon and presentation for our Veterans. We would also place flags at the cemetery.
Please take time tomorrow to honor a Veteran.
Regardless of your political stance - we are the land of the free because of the brave.
