Olsrud Family Women’s & Children’s Hospital

"There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about."

– Margaret J. Wheatley

We watched dreams come true at the hopening of the Olsrud Family Women’s and Children’s Hospital - the new hospital in Medford, Oregon. A state of the art facility housing the only two pediatric oncologists between Portland, OR and the Bay Area in CA. Miles was so excited for this new hospital to become a relaity and he passionately supported this project, both boys did.

The Olsrud Family donated over 12 million dollars to ensure that this project was successful and they asked Carter to cut the ribbon. An incredible honor. Additonally, we got to view his room. The Miles John Isbell Child Life Quiet Room. A space he was especially happy about and sadly but beautifully enough, it is now named after him.

With the amazing woman who gifted her naming privileges to us.

Our family is honored to have been a part of the community far and wide who have helped build this new hospital. We are so proud of the money our boys and their 4H club members donated. Donations which inspired hundreds of others to give - because they recognized that our youth believed in their community and this cause. This video highlights the incredible new hospital and those that gifted - including our own #scottvalleystrong kids

If you don’t have a community like this - go build it.
