Resting for Battle

Over the weekend Miles slept a lot. It made me anxious because he’s usually pretty fired up at the end of his cycle.

The first day of our last round has been extremely tough - more than that - it’s been awful and heartbreaking.

Late last night after he had gotten sick for the 15th or 16th time he just looked at me fiercely and said “I HATE chemo.”

Stronger meds settled the sickness and he’s resting peacefully now. I woke up to a message from one of our GasHouse family with this picture she had taken and edited from this weekend. She captured him resting during the championship game.

Spot on - “Warriors never sleep, they just rest until the next battle.”

Warrior on kid.
