The Greatness of Community

We were able to make it to the end of part 1 of the blood drive and Smiling Miles was so happy to see everyone. His energy and positivity were contagious. He doesn’t know and often can’t comprehend the extent of everyone’s generosity. That’s what made it so special to see his happiness shine through - because it was his genuine excitement to see people he cares about.

Part 1 was another testament to the greatness of our community. Even with the blood drive postponed a few days - the support was incredible. Our family is truly humbled by the generosity of others.

In addition to the funds raised for our family the blood drive collected over 30 PINTS of blood which will be cleaned and then distributed throughout the “State of Jefferson” (northern CA and southern OR). The workers who came from two hours south couldn’t say enough about our community - they could feel its greatness. And that’s the amazing things about greatness, its possibility is within all of us.
