Be a Hero KID

Nine months ago today (July 2nd) Miles had his brain tumor removed. It seems fitting that he had his final chemo related appointment this morning and was declared a “free man” until his scans in August. Until then you can find him doing ALL the fun things.

Both of our boys came to love baseball because of their first coach Colin Krueger. In addition to being a great coach - he’s also known for his classic one liner of encouragement “BE A HERO KID!” Whether the team’s down by 10 and hope may be lost or he’s anticipating a walk off - this is Coach Colin.

Miles was recently featured in this segment on the Channel 7 News out of Redding, CA. The anchorman Mike Mangas was a delight to speak with and after getting to know Miles and his story he introduced him as his “hero”.

Sometimes I forget that in addition to being a warrior - he should also be admired for his courage and ability to overcome.

Keep doing what Coach Colin would say and “BE A HERO KID!!”
